emeis, one year on

A year ago, we became emeis, a community of personalised care and support professionals. The change of name is above all a unifying global project for the group. Frédérique Raoult, Group Communications Director, takes a look back at a rich and (re)founding year.

Hello Frédérique Raoult. A year ago, emeis was born, a new and meaningful name for the group. What can you tell us about this past year?

Frédérique Raoult: 2024 was the year of the collective. We did indeed change our name last March, but above all we made a commitment, all together, with the revelation of our raison d'être, the fruit of collective reflection with all the stakeholders in the company: Together, supporting and sustaining vitality. With this shared objective, enshrined in our Articles of Association, we have opened a new chapter in our history. We have also formalised our mission: to Be even more useful to patients, residents and society by offering personalised care and support, at all times and to all vulnerable individuals. It's a mission that involves us all, under this new identity, emeis, which means "us" in ancient Greek. In 2024, our teams were even more at the heart of our attention and our strategy, because the "us" are them, the 78,000 employees who bring our values to our residents, patients and beneficiaries every day. It was an important, unifying year that laid the foundations for the next chapter in our history.

One year on, what are your impressions and what are the teams telling you?

F.R: They have taken ownership of the project, which is a tremendous source of pride for the teams in France and abroad and strengthens their commitment to the company's project. With emeis, we are moving towards a more unified group, initially under this new identity, but more generally with common practices and a unified, shared culture of care and support. This change has definitely reinvigorated all our employees. For 2 years now, we have also been implementing a major transformation plan, which is bearing fruit. To measure this, at the very beginning of this year we launched an employee engagement survey. Nearly 50% of employees expressed expectations, with response rates ranging from 30% to 85% depending on the country. This positive trend is also reflected in the satisfaction surveys carried out among the Group's patients and residents in 2024.

What's in store for emeis in 2025?

F.R: We're going to continue to anchor all the work we've done. As I was saying, we have laid solid foundations, and now we need to work together to keep this collective commitment alive. emeis is at the beginning of its life, and our brand is like a living organism. Every day it must prove its sincerity and deliver on its promise. In fact, at our Annual General Meeting in June, we are going to become a mission-driven company. One more step in the emeis story.

Thank you, Frédérique Raoult!
